The job entails the development and optimisation of the Bank’s cloud-based data infrastructure and applying skills in data engineering and cloud technologies to design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines. Empowering data-driven decision-making by efficiently managing and transforming large volumes of data, ensuring its quality and fostering collaboration across teams to enhance the overall effectiveness of our data operations.
Key Responsibilities
The job holder will be responsible for:
Actively participating in the design and architecture of data processing pipelines and systems, taking into account security, performance and maintainability.
Providing technical data engineering guidance to the team.
Supporting maintenance needs relating to data, whether these are for in-house developments or require the interaction with vendors/suppliers.
Handling Data Engineering problems and providing innovative solutions.
Assisting in mentoring other engineers by sharing knowledge and best practices.
Collaborating with teams, including cross-functional and multidisciplinary groups, to drive successful project outcomes.
Aligning with the software development lifecycle and the procedures defined for the department.
Supporting the IT Delivery aspects of data engineering aspects of larger-scale and critical projects, overseeing the pipeline development process from planning to deployment.
Communicating with stakeholders, presenting technical solutions, and providing insights to drive decision-making and project success.

Required Experience:
Previous proven experience of three (3) years in a UAT testing-related role with direct exposure to testing practices and methodologies.
Required Education:
An MQF Level 4 qualification in Software Testing or related IT knowledge areas.
Desirable Criteria:
An MQF Level 5 Diploma (or higher) in Business Management, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
Industry certifications in related subjects.
