Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Testing Lab Manager to oversee the operations of our testing laboratory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory management, with expertise in testing protocols and standards. This role involves leading a team of technicians and scientists to ensure accurate and timely testing services, while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the testing lab, including staff supervision, scheduling, and workflow management.
Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure high-quality testing and safety standards.
Oversee the planning and execution of tests, ensuring that all tests are performed accurately and efficiently.
Train and mentor laboratory staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in testing methodologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and quality assurance initiatives.
Maintain and optimize laboratory equipment and ensure all instruments are calibrated and in good working condition.
Monitor and analyze testing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Prepare and present reports on testing outcomes and laboratory performance to management and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of laboratory testing methods, quality control, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and data analysis software.
