Job Title: QA/Test Analyst – Software Testing & Implementation
Location: Boston, MA
Job Type: 2 days onsite
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA/Test Analyst with strong analytical and documentation skills to support software development projects across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining test plans, documenting test cases, identifying and tracking defects, and ensuring seamless coordination across teams and vendors.
The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in test planning, functional testing, end-to-end testing, integration testing, and defect lifecycle management. Familiarity with state-based marketplaces, government systems, and vendor coordination is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Translate business and functional requirements into detailed test cases and test scenarios
Maintain traceability between business requirements and test cases
Develop and execute test scripts across various modules, ensuring comprehensive test coverage
Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors for end-to-end testing and system integrations
Log, track, and triage defects using ticketing tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow)
Perform defect impact assessments and re-testing to verify resolution
Support implementation activities by working closely with business analysts, SMEs, and QA managers
Participate in risk assessment and assist in developing test strategies and mitigation plans
Contribute to regular QA status reports and test documentation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
5+ years of hands-on QA/testing experience in software development or system implementations
Proficient in MS Office 365, particularly Excel and Visio for documentation and reporting
Experience using test management and defect tracking tools
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies
Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working with local, state, or federal government systems
Familiarity with State-Based Marketplaces (SBM) or healthcare exchange platforms
Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestComplete) is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 – $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
