Nammo Defense Systems, Inc., a defense contractor, is the primary USA operation of the Nammo Group (Nammo AS). Nammo Defense Systems Inc. (NDS) develops, manufactures, and supports Shoulder Launched Munitions (SLMs), energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, and composite solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aerospace structures.
JOB OVERVIEW:
Provides leadership and supervision oversite specific to Quality Control Technicians (QC) inspection activities. Coordinates support with plant leadership, Integrated Product Team (IPT) at NDS Mesa. This is a working supervisor position requiring planning, support and hands-on participation to meet department objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises and coordinate daily activities of QC Techs
Drives completion of plant/line daily inspection goals and expectations
Provides supervision and goal setting for direct reports
Implement and execute the procedures and processes defined by the AS9100 based on quality management systems (TQMS) unutilized at NDS.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality inspection protocols and procedures
Assists in process and production problems solving and implementation of RCCA
Responsible for oversight of documenting hardware or material discrepancies
Motivate and guide team in quality best practices with professionalism and positivity
Monitors and reviews inspection and test data, assisting in identifying trends, and participating in corrective-action investigations as necessary
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality
Provide training, guidance, and support to quality team members, promoting a culture of quality, excellence, and compliance
Collaborate with operations, engineering, and other support departments to ensure quality products are delivered on time
Maintains clear communication with management and provides reports on quality activities and performance metrics
Participates in internal audits, facilitates third-party audits, and ensures audit findings are addressed and corrected in a timely manner
Reviews work for accuracy and compliance
Follow standard practices and safety procedures.
Strictly adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
LEVEL OF DECISION MAKING
This position will collaborate directly with both the Manger, Quality Engineering and/or Director of Quality.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, or equivalent experience in related field
2-5 years of experience working in quality control environment
Ability to solve problems and provide input for performance reviews
Capacity to read and interpret procedures accurately and to provide related guidance to subordinates, as required.
Effectively present information to peers and respond to questions from others, including management team.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
The ability to support management through leadership of others and provides a positive example to peers.
Ability to work overtime as required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
An ability to obtain BATF approval to work with our products as an Employee Possessor is required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This is a full-time position and will be required to work on-site, overseeing multiple plants
In this position employees may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts and explosives
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
