Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for monitoring and inspecting products and processes to ensure they meet established quality standards. This role involves identifying defects, recommending corrective actions, and maintaining records of inspection results to support continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other testing equipment.
Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality databases.
Identify and report quality issues, non-conformances, or deviations from specifications to supervisors.
Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001), and customer specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized inspection area and adhere to safety and cleanliness standards.
Participate in quality audits and support root cause analysis for product failures or complaints.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
1–3 years of experience in quality inspection or a related field, preferably in [industry, e.g., manufacturing, automotive, electronics, etc.].
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Proficient in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Familiarity with inspection tools and testing equipment.
Basic computer skills (MS Office; experience with ERP or QMS systems is a plus).
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour
