SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate will be responsible to develop, manage, maintain and improve processes & databases for product compliance requirements on sourced components and products, meeting customer specifications, compliant to regulatory directives and quality standards. Process will support the planning, coordination, and execution of assigned deliverables.
The Quality Technician focuses on sustainability of the Quality Management System, product compliance and improvement. Supporting the Quality Manager and the production team to implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment
SUPERVISION:
Quality Engineer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain all relevant purchasing data of goods in the ERP
Support contract negotiations with suppliers and vendors
Analyze price proposals and other financial data to determine reasonable prices for goods and services
Balance cost and quality to procure the best quality of goods or services for the lowest price in adequate amounts
Monitor and adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and policies regarding the purchase of goods and services
Collaborate with a worldwide network of suppliers and vendors
Certify the Manufacturing facility in initial ISO9001 Audit; perform Internal ISO audits
Develop and perform incoming, calibration and process audits to ensure compliance
Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
Train and develop the production team in best practice and quality inspection technique
Provide administrative support on compliance matters
Quality control & final control testing of batteries and battery packs
Participate in problem solving activities
Perform all other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & KEY COMPENTENCIES:
3 to 5 years previous experience in a quality role
Strong Microsoft Office application skills, including Excel and Word
Electrical aptitude is a must
Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a demanding environment
Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
Ability to follow policies and procedures
