Role Description The Vice President of Operations (part-time, remote) oversees the operational effectiveness of Rede Nacional de Educação Cidadã, aligning daily activities with strategic goals. This role leads operational planning, establishes and tracks performance metrics, and ensures efficient processes across programs and initiatives. The VP of Operations collaborates with leadership to manage budgets and P&L, supports resource allocation, and drives continuous improvement in service delivery. Responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional projects, optimizing workflows, and ensuring a high standard of stakeholder and customer service. The role also involves mentoring operational staff, managing vendors and partners as needed, and providing regular reports and recommendations to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Operations Management, with experience designing, implementing, and optimizing processes across multiple functions.
- Proficiency in Strategic Planning and Project Management, including setting priorities, managing timelines, and delivering initiatives on budget.
- Proven capability in P&L Management, financial oversight, and data-driven decision-making to support organizational sustainability.
- Strong Customer Service orientation, with experience developing systems and practices that enhance stakeholder and participant satisfaction.
- Experience in remote leadership, including leading distributed teams, clear communication, and use of digital collaboration tools.
- Ability to work part-time while maintaining accountability for key operational outcomes and deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is an asset.
- Prior experience in education, nonprofit, or social impact organizations is highly beneficial.
