Role Description The Vice President of Quality Correction is a part-time remote role responsible for overseeing and improving quality performance across Inland Empire Oil and Gas’s trading and downstream operations. This position leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems, ensuring that processes, products, and services consistently meet regulatory, industry, and internal standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing quality data, identifying systemic issues, defining corrective and preventive actions, and coordinating cross-functional teams to execute improvement initiatives. The role also involves collaborating closely with trading, operations, and regulatory teams to maintain compliance, mitigate risk, and embed a culture of quality throughout the organization. The Vice President of Quality Correction will prepare regular reports for senior leadership and provide strategic guidance on quality-related policies, procedures, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Quality Control and Quality Assurance, with a track record of identifying issues and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in Quality Management and Quality Systems, including designing, maintaining, and auditing quality frameworks and documentation.
  • Experience in Regulatory Affairs, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations and standards within the oil and gas sector.
  • Proven leadership skills, including managing cross-functional teams, influencing stakeholders, and driving change in remote, distributed environments.
  • Background in oil and gas operations, trading, or downstream services is highly beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with comfort using data and metrics to guide quality initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certifications in quality or compliance are an advantage.
