Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This position involves overseeing quality control processes, conducting audits, and implementing quality management systems to align with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all products adhere to SQF and FDA regulations.
Responsibilities
Complaint Management
Logging of customer and consumer complaints received.
Assigning complaints to the appropriate manufacturing quality team for investigation.
Tracking complaints to ensure close-out and responses are completed in a timely manner.
Certifications and Audits
Management of 3rd party and external compliance audit certifications (SQF, FSVP, etc) with relevant facility teams.
Assist facility teams in audit preparation
Ensure CAPA reports are completed and submitted to certification bodies within required timeframes.
Scheduling internal exercises (mock recall, food fraud, crisis events) and coordination of related activities in collaboration with the Quality Director.
Document and Data Management
Maintain and update quality management system documentation (FSQM).
Maintain documentation and databases related to vendors and 3rd party service suppliers.
Monitor facility facing trackers to ensure data is entered and actions are closed out within appropriate timeframe.
Organize and maintain records, such as scoresheets, data collection entries, spreadsheets, specifications, outside company contacts, and any other department related documents and reports as necessary.
Track and analyze critical data to identify trends, potential risks and areas for improvement.
Prepare and submit reports on performance, compliance status and ongoing incidents.
Use BCS (NAV) to release product, hold product and maintain any other statuses as appropriate for the products in the system, including special system releases.
Assist in special projects assigned by Quality Assurance management

Qualifications
Experience in food manufacturing quality is required.
Must have good English reading/writing proficiency.
Must have good Spanish reading/writing/speaking proficiency.
Must have PC skills including competence in data handling and word processing applications.
Must be able to work independently.
Must have competent math skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 per week
