Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance/Control Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and improving the quality assurance and quality control processes, managing the QA team, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
The QA/QC Supervisor is the point person for the Quality department for Sales, Production Manager, Product Development communications. Eventually serving as a subject expert on quality policies, processes, product specifications, and compliance regulations to adequately test the company’s products.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Manage QA Processes and Team: Lead and supervise the quality assurance team, ensuring that all QA processes are executed efficiently and effectively.
Develop QA Policies and Procedures: Create, implement, and maintain QA policies and procedures to ensure consistent quality standards across all products and processes.
Conduct Audits and Reviews: Perform regular audits and reviews to assess compliance with established quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
Supplier Quality Management: Oversee the quality management of suppliers, ensuring that all materials and components meet our quality requirements.
Compliance Documents: Prepare and maintain compliance documents to ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards.
Product Specifications: Develop and maintain detailed product specifications to guide the production process and ensure product quality.
Report on Test Results: Analyze and report on test results, providing insights and recommendations for quality improvements.
Ensure Adherence to Regulations: Ensure that all products and processes comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Primary Communicator to Customers on Quality Issues: Serve as the main point of contact for customers regarding quality issues, addressing concerns and providing solutions.
Team Member for Engineering Projects and Product Development: Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to integrate quality assurance into new projects and product designs.
Qualifications/Skills/Experiences:
Bachelor’s degree in science – preferably Chemistry or Physics.
Optical knowledge a plus, either as an optician with retails optical knowledge or a lab technician in an optical setting
An American Board of Opticianry Certification (ABO Cert) would be beneficial
A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management role.
Heavy customer- facing experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in a supervisory role.
Proven experience driving Customer related Quality issues.
Exceptional customer service skills, with a proven ability to resolve customer issues effectively and efficiently
Strong knowledge of QA processes, policies, and procedures.
Proven experience in managing Quality Management Systems (QMS) and familiarity with ISO 9000 standards
A proactive approach to work, with a strong drive for continuous improvement and excellence
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
