Job Summary
The Product Visual Inspector is responsible for inspecting the products for defects, nonconformities and to ensure accurate accounting of product quantity for each manufactured batch.
Role Activities and Responsibilities Adhere to GMP and ISO 13485 quality systems.
Perform visual inspection to manufactured product separating defects or non-conforming products from the good ones guided by the appropriate manufacturing direction.
Perform accounting of quantity of the manufactured product before and after inspection.
Accomplish batch records for each batch of product inspected and inform supervisor for any abnormality in the goods, low yield or recurring rejects.
Inventory management
for indirect materials used in the inspection process and informing supervisor for replenishment and or requiring repairs.
Perform Housekeeping in the inspection area.
Assist supervisor in training new visual inspectors.
Reports to the
Quality Control
Manager.
Additional Responsibilities Other duties as assigned.
Participation in
Quality Control
meetings as needed.
Minimum qualifications:
Technical Knowledge/Experience Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
At least 1 year’s work experience in a GMP/GLP or ISO compliant environment in the same capacity or either in Manufacturing or Quality department.
Excellent written and oral
communication skills

With excellent visual acuity as certified by a medical practitioner.

visual inspection in a manufacturing setting is desired but not required.
