Role Overview
As a Warehouse Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving the quality of inbound, outbound, and storage processes within the Rotterdam fulfilment center. Your role ensures accuracy in inventory handling, proper packaging, damage control, and compliance with client and company standards. This position is critical to maintaining operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect Inbound Shipments: Check incoming goods for damage, quantity accuracy, and proper labeling
Monitor Outbound Quality: Ensure orders are picked, packed, and labeled correctly and meet packaging standards
Report & Document Issues: Record discrepancies, damages, or quality failures using digital QC reporting tools
Root Cause Analysis: Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to identify causes of recurring quality issues
Audit Processes: Perform regular audits on storage practices, product rotation, and FIFO compliance
Training Support: Assist in training staff on quality procedures, product handling, and packaging guidelines
Compliance Checks: Ensure all processes meet internal SOPs, customer SLAs, and health & safety standards
Data Tracking: Maintain logs of inspections, returns, and process defects to support continuous improvement
Key Qualifications
Previous experience in warehouse operations or quality control
Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and barcode scanning tools
Basic understanding of product handling, packaging materials, and damage prevention
Good communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus)
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume logistics environment
Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings or weekends when needed
