Join our Legacy

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the quality assurance technician inspects green and processed fruit in accordance with Musco Family Olive Products Quality Assurance Program. Monitor and report on all aspects of product quality as required by manager/supervisor. Perform can double seam inspections and analytical tests on various water systems.

Your Contribution to Excellence

Sample and inspect plant and can maker double seams from canning lines.
Monitor salometer of cover brine.
Perform QC in line scoring.
Take sample from each flume to determine quality of fruit. (Count per pound)
Visual check machines every 30 minutes.
Prepare necessary quality report.
Sample of floatation tank liquid is pulled and salometer measured and recorded on the Piter Quality Report.
Sample and inspect ingredients upon delivery. File report.
Collect and perform verification scoring from previous day’s production.
Monitor TSP system.
Perform analytical tests on plant water and cooker cooling water.
Maintain work area in clean, neat, and orderly condition.
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices.
Follow all safety rules and regulations, including active participation in the prompt identification and communication of safety hazards.
Must be available to work overtime as needed, with or without advance notice.
Meet all productivity and efficiency standards as outlined by management.
Assist production operations department when requested by management.
Immediately report all food safety and food quality issues to supervisor.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What you Bring to the Table

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience or training.
Ability to perform calculations, write clearly and communicate well with others.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
