We are seeking an experienced Weld Quality Supervisor / Inspector to provide hands-on weld inspection and supervise a small team of 2–3 inspection personnel at a manufacturing facility in Toledo, Ohio.

The ideal candidate will have previous welding/fabrication experience, strong knowledge of weld quality, and prior leadership or supervisory experience.

Quality Supervisor Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour. 1099 Independent Contractor – Position

Must be able to work:

1st shift 6:00am to 6:00 pm;

2nd shift 6:00pm to 6:00 am

Job Responsibilities & Duties for the Weld Quality Supervisor :

• Supervise and coordinate 2–3 inspection personnel.
• Perform visual inspections of welds and fabricated components.
• Identify weld defects and workmanship issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols.
• Verify weld size, location, appearance, and quality requirements.
• Use weld gauges and basic dimensional inspection equipment.
• Document nonconforming material and inspection results.
• Communicate quality concerns with customer and project personnel.
• Ensure inspection activities and required documentation are completed accurately.

Requirements Weld Quality Supervisor :

• Previous welding or fabrication experience required.
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience required.
• Weld inspection or quality experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
• Knowledge of common weld defects and acceptance criteria.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment.
• AWS CWI certification is a plus but not required.

Pay: $25.00 per hour
