Ensure quality in welded assemblies and piping systems as a QC Inspector with Johnson Controls. This role focuses on compliance with drawings, codes, and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
As a Welding QC Inspector, you will perform in-process and final inspections of carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel welds to meet CSA W47.1, W59, and ASME B31.3 standards. Close coordination with Production, Engineering, and third-party inspectors is crucial to guarantee the release of compliant products and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect welded assemblies, piping systems, and structural frames
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and customer requirements
• Support training and knowledge-sharing for fellow inspectors
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and quality teams
• Perform duties in line with safety program standards
Requirements:
• 1-3 years’ experience in quality control
• Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
• Experience in fabrication and welding processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
