We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and results-driven person to join our team in a WHS and Quality Management position. This role will support all work health and safety as well as quality assurance activities across our 6 manufacturing locations.

About the Role
The ideal candidate is a person who has experience in work health and safety in a manufacturing environment. This person must have experience in developing work procedures and risk assessments in consultation with stakeholders. The ideal candidate would have to demonstrate their ability to work well in a team and have very good communication and computer skills.
This role will also involve quality assurance and maintaining the quality systems. This will involve ensuring that policies and procedures are reviewed and maintained, and support the quality audits process.
The candidate must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen. Formal qualifications in WHS will be required. Ideally this would be a Diploma level, but a Certificate IV would also be considered.
The position is full-time and based in our Cavan SA office, however there will be occasional travel requirements to the other Bushmans locations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the WHS program and culture. This includes incident investigation and implementation of preventative actions.
- Establish and reporting on WHS and quality targets.
- Develop, review, and implement policies, procedures, and risk management documents.
- Review and ensure WHS activities are completed according to WHS legislation.
- Develop and coordinate training materials as well as ensuring records are maintained.
- Conduct audits and monitor the internal audit program. Ensure corrective actions are being completed.
- Support the sites ensuring compliance with the national heavy vehicle regulation.
- Lead the Australian Standards certification process and the internal/external audit program.
- Identify quality issues and support the sites to improve processes, ensuring high quality product.
Key Requirements
- Formal qualifications in WHS (Ideally Diploma level, but Certificate IV would also be considered).
- Comprehensive understanding of workplace safety legislation, regulations, and best practices.
- Commitment to continuous learning to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in workplace safety.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
