About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Workday QA Engineer to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and executing testing strategies across various Workday modules and integrations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, business analysts, and developers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Workday implementations, upgrades, and ongoing releases.
  • Perform end-to-end functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Financials, Payroll, Benefits, Absence).
  • Validate data migrations, custom reports, calculated fields, and third-party API/EIB integrations within the Workday tenant.
  • Identify, document, log, and track software defects and system discrepancies to resolution using Jira or enterprise defect tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with business process owners and functional leads to translate complex business requirements into clear acceptance criteria and testing scenarios.
  • Establish testing standards, maintain test documentation, and report quality metrics and release readiness to project leadership.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Workday Experience: 3+ years of dedicated hands-on experience in Quality Assurance focusing on the Workday ecosystem (HCM, Payroll, Core Financials, or Integrations).
  • Testing Expertise: Proven track record of end-to-end test execution, integration testing (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio), and regression test management.
  • Defect Management: Proficiency in issue tracking and test management platforms (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM).
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of Workday security models, business process configurations, and custom report validation.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work Authorization: Independent, valid work authorization in the United States that does not require employer sponsorship now or in the future (US Citizen or Green Card Holder preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automated testing tools compatible with Workday (e.g., Kainos Smart, Workday Automated Testing, Selenium).
  • Workday Pro certifications or specialized functional module training.
