Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom AutoCAD automation solutions using AutoLISP, C#, .NET, ObjectARX, and AutoCAD APIs.
- Develop AutoCAD plugins, custom commands, ribbon applications, and engineering productivity tools.
- Automate engineering workflows, drawing generation, validation, annotation, reporting, and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable automation solutions.
- Integrate AutoCAD with enterprise applications, databases, GIS platforms, and other engineering systems.
- Optimize existing automation tools for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support for CAD automation solutions.
- Contribute to solution architecture, technical documentation, and best practices while mentoring junior engineers. Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong programming experience in AutoLISP, Visual LISP, C#, .NET, AutoCAD .NET API, ObjectARX, and COM Automation.
- Experience developing AutoCAD plugins, custom applications, and engineering automation solutions.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, debugging, and software development best practices.
- Experience with SQL Server, REST APIs, Git/Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Office automation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
- Good to have experience in telecom engineering, including FTTx, OSP/ISP network design, fiber optic infrastructure, splicing, telecom tower design, and engineering drawing standards.
- Familiarity with telecom design tools such as AutoCAD Map 3D, ArcGIS/QGIS, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, GIS integration, Power Platform, or cloud technologies is an added advantage.
- Experience working in Agile environments and delivering enterprise-scale engineering solutions.
Required Skills & Knowledge and experience in:
- Strong experience in AutoCAD Automation using AutoLISP, Visual LISP, and Python.
- Hands-on knowledge of AutoCAD customization, blocks, layers, attributes, layouts, and drawing standards.
- Experience in automating engineering drawing validation, QC, and workflow optimization.
- Good understanding of Telecom Engineering (FTTx, OSP/ISP, Fiber Networks, or Tower Infrastructure).
- Experience in developing AI-enabled engineering automation using LLMs, Microsoft Copilot, or Generative AI to improve engineering workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with the ability to automate complex engineering processes.
