Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with expertise in Quality Assurance (QA) automation and requirements traceability to support our team of QA automation engineers. This individual will play a key role in defining, documenting, and managing requirements while ensuring alignment between business needs, technical teams, and QA test cases. The ideal candidate will have experience creating requirements traceability matrices (RTMs), collaborating with cross-functional teams, and improving software testing processes. Additionally, they should have hands-on experience with drafting and reviewing automation scripts for both web and mobile applications to ensure quality and test coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with QA automation engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
• Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs) to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborate with QA teams to define test cases, scenarios, and automation coverage based on business requirements.
• Review and identify gaps in existing test cases
• Update existing test cases to support defect mitigation or new requirements
• Review and provide input on test automation scripts for web and mobile applications to ensure they align with business and functional requirements.
• Draft automation test scenarios and test data to support automation engineers in scripting efficient and maintainable test cases.
• Facilitate requirement reviews and traceability validation sessions to ensure alignment with test automation strategies.
• Identify gaps between requirements, test coverage, and system functionality and work to resolve them.
• Contribute to process improvements in test automation and requirements validation.
• Support Agile development processes by maintaining documentation in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.
Qualifications:
• Experience: 5+ years as a Business Analyst, with a focus on QA processes, test automation, or software testing.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and QA tools (Zephyr)
• Automation Knowledge: Understanding of automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright) for web and mobile applications.
• Testing Expertise: Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including automated testing, performance testing, and security testing.
• Traceability Expertise: Experience developing requirements traceability matrices and linking requirements to test cases and automation scripts.
• Script Review & Drafting: Ability to draft, review, and validate automation test scripts for web and mobile applications.
• Process Improvement: Strong background in process optimization, defect tracking, and Agile SDLC.
• Certifications (Preferred): ISTQB Certified Tester, PMP, or other relevant QA/BA certifications.
