The inspector oversees quality assurance at the fabrication facility on behalf of Bureau Veritas’s client, including on-site inspections during construction. Knowledge of AWS codes and relevant experience are required.
Responsibilities include:
Communicating with the Project Manager to understand work scope, deliverables, schedule, and budget.
Coordinating with the Project Manager, fabrication shops, contractors, and third parties to resolve schedule issues.
Ensuring services meet project requirements and contractual obligations.
Preparing and submitting timesheets, billing, and inspection reports promptly using Microsoft Word/Adobe Acrobat, transmitted electronically.
Providing updates regarding upcoming assignments and potential work.
Maintaining positive relationships with clients, fabrication facilities, and Bureau Veritas.
Working remotely from Bureau Veritas offices.
Focusing on client needs with a detail-oriented approach to quality assurance.
Reading and understanding complex design and fabrication plans.
Exhibiting excellent communication and documentation skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Lotus Notes preferred.
Managing multiple assignments efficiently.
Collaborating with clients, field staff, and global offices.
Minimum Qualifications:
Certified Welding Inspector (AWS)
D1.5 Bridge Inspection experience (plus)
NDT Level II (plus)
AMPP/NACE Level II (plus)
