About This Role
Sterling Oil Exploration & Energy Production Company Limited (SEEPCO)—a leading player in the upstream oil and gas sector—is recruiting a Civil Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Officer for its project operations in Akwa Ibom State. This senior quality management position focuses on civil QA/QC inspections, ensuring construction adherence to Issued For Construction (IFC) drawings, monitoring geotechnical activities, and maintaining oil & gas civil engineering codes across site developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Inspections & Compliance: Conduct routine QA/QC inspections and surveillance of civil construction works strictly against Approved IFC drawings, specifications, and international civil codes/standards.
- Geotechnical & Structural Oversight: Oversee civil engineering works, soil testing, foundation works, geotechnical investigations, and concrete structural inspections.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare, compile, and maintain detailed QC dossiers, inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and testing logs per project requirements.
- Site Synergy & Schedule Alignment: Work closely with site construction managers and project engineers to ensure quality standards are met without compromising project schedules.
- Software Utilization: Utilize civil software tools (e.g., AutoCAD) and MS Excel for technical calculations, reporting, and drawing reviews.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Educational Background: HND or B.Eng. Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 9 to 13 years of verifiable experience in civil QA/QC, construction monitoring, and quality management.
- Industry Preference: Direct field experience as a Civil QA/QC Engineer in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, or Power Plant construction projects.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and technical report drafting.
- Technical Mastery: In-depth knowledge of global civil codes, soil testing standards, structural concrete inspection protocols, and field safety.
