Job Responsibilities:
SMT QC inspector is responsible for through put and quality standards for the entire area to which assigned.
· Reviews MPI, Deviations, ECO, Job Specific Customer Documentation before performing inspection.
· Conducts SMT First Article Inspection.
· Stops the production line for any major quality issues. Immediately inform Production Lead and Engineering when a line stoppage occurs.
· Provides daily Quality Pass down report.
· Reviews Production Schedule or Instructions from Lead/Supervisor.
· Raises and reviews Technical Inquiries for any discrepancies on the production line observed. When there are discrepancies, do not start a job without any authorization from Engineer / Supervisor.
· Assists areas that are bottleneck per Supervisor/Engineer/Manager direction.
· Escalates all issues to Supervisor / Engineer / Manager. If matters are unresolved, notifies the Quality Manager immediately.
· Attends training and implements all procedures pertaining to Production, such as ESD, Housekeeping, First Article, Maintenance, Safety, Test and Inspection Procedures, MSD Handling procedure, IPC-A-610, etc.
· Makes suggestions on process and quality improvement to Supervisor / Engineer / Management
· Be able to associate defects to workmanship standards specified by IPC-A-610 (class 2 and 3) as well as customer requirements.
Education & Experience
Education: Minimum High school Graduate
Experience:
· Minimum 2 years of working in an electronics inspection environment within the CM or similar environment.
· Previous IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 experience is required.
Skills:
Basic computer competence with MSWord, Excel and Outlook
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English to the degree necessary to perform the job.
Proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, bills of material, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour
