Position: Clinical Specialist (Coder)
Job Description:
Examine and analyze patient medical records to identify relevant diagnoses, treatments, and procedures.
Ensure that medical documentation is accurate, complete, and meets coding guidelines.
Assign appropriate alphanumeric codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services based on international coding systems such as ICD-10 for procedures.
Adhere to coding standards, regulations, and compliance requirements, including those set by health insurance companies, government agencies, and healthcare organizations.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to clarify documentation and obtain additional information when needed.
Participate in coding audits and
quality assurance
initiatives to ensure the accuracy and integrity of coded data.
Perform reasonable ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirement:
Minimum Diploma in Health Sciences or any other relevant field.
