Compliance Manager We are seeking an experienced and proactive Compliance Manager to oversee compliance across a growing healthcare transport organisation delivering safe, high-quality, non-emergency patient transport services. This role is responsible for ensuring the organisation operates in line with all relevant regulatory, statutory, and quality standards, including those set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Health & Safety legislation.
Working closely with the Head of Compliance, you will lead compliance monitoring, audits, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives that support operational excellence and patient safety. The successful candidate will be highly organised, analytical, and committed to promoting a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the business. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular compliance audits across operational departments to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Support investigations into incidents and complaints, identifying root causes and recommending corrective and preventative actions. Monitor compliance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and produce reports to track performance and regulatory compliance. Ensure the organisation remains compliant with current legislation, regulatory requirements, policies, and industry best practice.
Work collaboratively with operational and support teams to embed compliance into everyday business activities. Assist in the development, implementation, and review of compliance policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives. Prepare compliance reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management. Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections where required. Compliance Manager Skills & Experience Strong knowledge of Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and healthcare compliance.
Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems and continuous improvement processes. Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organisation. Able to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and compliance reporting systems. Experience in conducting audits, analysing data, and producing management reports.

Desirable Experience Previous experience within the healthcare sector, ideally in non-emergency patient transport or ambulance services. Knowledge of NHS service standards, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and healthcare commissioning requirements. Experience supporting regulatory inspections and quality assurance programmes.
