Overview: We are seeking an experienced, detailed-oriented Construction Quality Inspector and Compaction Technician to join our growing inspection team as we embark on unprecedented growth and expansion. This position will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality residential construction practices throughout the region. The inspector will be responsible for conducting comprehensive residential inspections to verify compliance with Arcxis quality standards and/or clients’ standards as well as performing soil density tests for compaction certification. Primary Responsibilities:
Perform detailed field inspections for compliance to Arcxis and/or clients’ standards.
Maintain comprehensive project records, inspection results, test results and any other documentation pertaining to the inspections.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, residents and all other stakeholders explaining the inspection findings and their implications and construction best practices.
Foster and develop a strong relationship with Construction Managers, Assistant Construction Managers and tradesman.
Collect soil samples and deliver to lab for testing.
Perform soil density tests to verify compliance with standards.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:
Assisting with other service lines including but not limited to Quality Assurance Inspections, compaction testing, etc.

Requirements:
Education, Experience and Desired Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid Florida Driver License
Reliable transportation
Minimum 2 years experience related to construction quality inspections or general construction experience.
Customer service oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints and specifications.
Ability to work independently (but fully supported) and manage multiple inspections per day.
Strong comfort level using technology including computers, tablets, and smartphones.

Ability to work in various weather conditions
Ability to climb ladders
Ability to lift 20 pounds
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Full-Time Hourly Position with expectation of 40 hours / week (8 hours / day)
Travel: Local Travel required within approximately 2 hours of primary location. Occasional travel out of primary market location as required.
