Digital Learning Project Manager

Reading – Hybrid

12-Month Contract | Up to £85,000

We’re looking for a Digital Learning Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale digital learning initiatives within a global, multi-disciplinary learning function.

This role sits at the centre of a complex stakeholder environment, responsible for driving projects from initial brief through to delivery ensuring high-quality, engaging digital learning solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives.

The Role

You will take ownership of end-to-end project delivery across digital learning programmes, working closely with stakeholders, instructional designers, developers and external vendors.

This is a hands-on project leadership role, requiring strong organisation, stakeholder management and a solid understanding of digital learning and instructional design principles.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Own and manage end-to-end delivery of digital learning projects across a global organisation
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets and resources
  • Identify risks and proactively manage scope, priorities and delivery challenges
  • Track progress using project management tools and provide regular reporting

Resource & Vendor Management

  • Allocate and manage internal resources and external vendors for content development
  • Oversee delivery of external assets, ensuring quality, consistency and alignment

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with business stakeholders, SMEs and learning teams to define requirements and objectives
  • Lead project kick-offs and maintain clear communication throughout delivery
  • Ensure alignment between business needs and learning solutions

Content & Delivery Oversight

  • Oversee development of digital learning content, including e-learning modules, video, interactive content and learning platforms
  • Apply instructional design principles (e.g. ADDIE) to ensure effective learning outcomes
  • Implement quality assurance processes, ensuring content meets technical and user standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within digital learning, L&D or edtech environments
  • Strong understanding of instructional design and digital learning delivery
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms, authoring tools and digital learning technologies
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing external vendors and distributed delivery teams

Desirable

  • Experience working in global or regulated environments
  • Certification in project management (e.g. PMP, Agile)
  • Exposure to large-scale digital learning programmes
