Job Details:
SUMMARY:
This job is responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards of product produced. Other responsibilities include working with USDA to resolve issues as they arise, verification of FSQA checks, and other paperwork & conducting swab testing. Also responsible for team member safety. Work activities are variable and require good judgment to complete tasks such as setting priorities, evaluating results, & coordinating with others. This position is responsible for food safety food quality and legality on 2nd shift. Finally, a good attitude and willingness to work hard is required.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor s degree in ag, poultry science or food science preferred.
Experience: 2 plus years in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
HACCP certified preferred; must have broad knowledge of HACCP, USDA, GMP, SSOP. Training offered onsite for HACCP, GMP and SSOP.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills for creating simple queries spreadsheets etc. SAP knowledge preferred.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills verbal and written; bilingual a plus.
Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a small group of personnel who perform somewhat similar tasks who conduct quality inspections.
