Role: Senior Quality Assurance Analyst – IT Software Tester
Duration: Long Term Contract
Location: Houston, TX 77002
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Analyst – IT Software Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, developing test strategies, and executing test cases to ensure the quality and functionality of web applications across multiple environments. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, defect tracking, and ensuring adherence to best testing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning & Execution:
Analyze requirements from end users and clients to develop comprehensive test strategies and plans.
Create and execute test cases for functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
Perform end-to-end testing of web applications across different environments, including Dev, QA, Staging, and Production.
Conduct UI, load, and web services testing as required.
Perform back-end/database testing to validate data integrity.
Ensure defect tracking, documentation, and resolution in collaboration with the development team.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
Collaboration & Agile Methodology:
Participate in requirements gathering meetings with business stakeholders to understand business needs.
Engage in SCRUM meetings and sprint planning discussions.
Provide insights and recommendations during user story grooming sessions.
Coordinate with development and DevOps teams to integrate QA processes into CI/CD pipelines.
Provide test estimations to project managers and stakeholders.
Reporting & Process Improvement:
Provide QA status updates and reports as required.
Lead capacity planning and resource allocation within the QA team.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software testing.
Evaluate and recommend UI software testing tools for product improvements.
Support production environments through maintenance efforts and troubleshooting.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 12+ years of experience in software testing, with expertise in web applications.
Technical Skills:
· Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools.
· Hands-on experience with test automation and manual testing.
· Experience with CI/CD processes and DevOps.
· Proficiency in defect tracking tools and test management tools (e.g., DevOps, JIRA, Selenium, etc.).
· Experience in database testing using SQL queries.
· Knowledge of API/Web Services testing (REST/SOAP) is a plus.
· Familiarity with performance and load testing tools is a plus.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills.
· Ability to work independently and lead QA efforts in a dynamic environment.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: Up to $60.00 per hour
Schedule:
8 hour shift
