Our customer, a leading multinational Fast Moving Consumer Goods company, known for its high-quality products and commitment to innovation, is currently looking for a:
FOOD SAFETY & QUALITY PACKAGING EUROPE AND SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS COORDINATOR
Who will guide the FSQ Packaging Managers and Packaging Matter Experts by defining priorities, providing operational guidelines, and harmonizing working methods, across Europe, in line with Group guidelines.
Main Responsibilities
• Coordinate the development of FSQ guidelines and procedures, structuring local governance, and ensuring their application within the designated perimeter
• Support non-conformities management and lead Food Safety & Quality improvement plans, driving business continuity activities. Design and organize local governance to engage internal stakeholders effectively, ensuring the implementation of FSQ requirements that merge central and local needs
• Management of the Packaging Material Subject Matter Experts (SME) that will imply the critical nonconformity management and the definition of the material standards in collaboration with the product development/innovation. Monitor and manage end-to-end material categories, act as Center of Expertise (at group level) for categories
• Coordinate M&A and 3PO related activities, support gap assessments, and validate roadmaps
• Develop the PS3 Packaging Materials FSQ strategy at the area/regional level and participate in relevant central committees to highlight issues and raise awareness of local needs. Support project implementation by defining FSQ compliance specifications and ensuring workflow success at the plant level
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to constantly updating the Packaging regulatory framework and FS Standards, supporting minimum sampling plan definitions
• Ensure the execution of the Audit Plan at the local level and monitoring suppliers through identified KPIs. Ensure the rollout and acceptance of supplier Food Safety and Quality documentation, identify unresolved issues, and coordinate action plans with both internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate central and local activities for supplier approval and guide the compliance target among regions/brands. Scout and select suppliers through targeted preventive inspections and assessments of laboratory and industrial samples, compliance assessments, and benchmarking results
• Contribute to developing and deploying the Materials FSQ global training program, with a particular focus on the auditors’ population. Ensure the coaching and training of employees on Food Safety and Quality standards, Audits and Packaging Material characteristics
Requirements:
• University degree with background in Food Sciences or other related fields
• At least 10 years of experience in leadership roles in Food Safety & Quality and Packaging, within a multinational environment
• Experience in packaging, risk analysis, principles of statistical sampling, pest Control, GFSI and ISO Certification Scheme, allergen management, Food Contact Material legislation, Food regulatory
• Good knowledge of Food Safety, Food Technology, Food Chemicals and Microbiological analysis
• Excellent communications skills
• Leadership
• Fluent English and at least, an intermediate level of Italian
