Supplier Management Associate
The Opportunity:
The Supplier Management Associate is responsible for managing the end-to-end onboarding process for new suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering strong supplier relationships. This role works closely with procurement, finance, legal, and operational teams to streamline supplier setup, ensure proper documentation, and maintain data integrity in supplier management systems. In addition, the Supplier Management Associate monitors supplier performance through scorecards and KPIs, supports corrective action plans, and assists in supplier segmentation and risk profiling. This role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement initiatives, coordinating cross-functional input, and delivering insights that enhance supplier accountability, performance, and long-term value.

Responsibilities
The Supplier Onboarding Associate will perform a variety of duties which may include:
Supplier Onboarding & Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for new suppliers during the onboarding process.
Collect and verify necessary documentation, including contracts, tax forms, insurance certificates, and compliance requirements.
Ensure all supplier data is accurately entered and maintained in internal systems.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders (procurement, finance, legal, IT) to facilitate approvals.
Helps with maintaining the supplier information database.
Supplier Management:
Monitor and track supplier performance using key metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness) to ensure service level compliance.
Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to identify underperformance and support corrective action plans.
Maintain and update supplier scorecards, dashboards, and records in support of regular performance reviews.
Assist in supplier segmentation and risk profiling to align supplier management activities with business priorities
Coordinate cross-functional input to improve supplier performance and strengthen relationships
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at driving supplier accountability and value creation
Prepare reports and insights for category managers and leadership on supplier trends and opportunities.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure suppliers comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
Conduct due diligence, background checks, and risk assessments on new suppliers as needed.
Maintain accurate and updated records of supplier agreements, certifications, and performance evaluations.
Requirements and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in supplier onboarding, procurement, accounts payable, or a related role.
Strong understanding of procurement policies, compliance regulations, and supplier management best practices.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience with supplier management systems or procurement tools.
Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills including the ability to work well with both internal and external customers.
