Job Summary

TransAct Technologies is seeking a Gaming Equipment Quality Control Technician to support the inspection, testing, and quality verification of technology products used in casino and gaming environments.

The technician will perform functional inspections, identify hardware or assembly issues, document test results, and coordinate with technical and operations teams to ensure products meet established quality requirements.

This position is suited to someone who has strong attention to detail, enjoys working with technology and electronics, and can consistently follow documented testing procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect gaming technology hardware and electronic components.
  • Perform functional testing according to established procedures.
  • Verify equipment configuration and proper operation.
  • Inspect printers, assemblies, cables, connectors, sensors, and related components.
  • Identify damaged, defective, or incorrectly assembled equipment.
  • Document inspection findings and test results accurately.
  • Report product defects and recurring quality issues.
  • Separate or identify equipment that does not meet established specifications.
  • Assist with troubleshooting basic hardware problems.
  • Retest repaired or corrected equipment before release.
  • Maintain accurate quality-control and equipment records.
  • Follow product specifications, technical documentation, and inspection procedures.
  • Coordinate quality concerns with Operations, Engineering, Technical Support, and other appropriate teams.
  • Maintain an organized testing and inspection workspace.
  • Follow applicable safety, handling, and quality procedures.
  • Assist with additional product-quality activities as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical, electronics, or vocational education preferred.
  • Previous quality control, electronics testing, hardware repair, manufacturing, or technical operations experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electronic and electromechanical equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow written technical and testing procedures.
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inspection records.
  • Comfortable using basic hand and testing tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with gaming equipment, printers, POS systems, kiosks, electronics, or similar commercial hardware is a plus.
