THE ROLE

The Manager, Communications and Engagement, is responsible for managing communications and engagement activities to support the work of Homes Victoria.

The purpose of the role is to ensure appropriate planning, resourcing and conduct of communications and engagement activities to ensure our communities and stakeholders receive timely, accurate and appropriate advice about projects and can be appropriately informed and consulted, make representations, provide feedback, and ask questions in a way that delivers on our commitment to genuine inclusion of stakeholders in each project.

Are You

An experienced stakeholder relations and communications and/or community engagement professional with a demonstrated ability to lead and implement strategies in these areas?

A senior practitioner with demonstrated understanding of government political processes and priorities and major departmental initiatives.

Motivated to work with diverse and highly engaged communities and stakeholders in the context of key regional infrastructure projects?

Accountabilities Include

Lead the planning, resourcing, implementation, and evaluation of communications and engagement activities for Homes Victoria and its projects.

Lead and motivate a team to achieve the objectives for each project and the wider objectives of Homes Victoria.

Maintain a live register of issues to support media liaison and issues management activities in conjunction with the department’s Media & Communications team.
