For an international airline we are looking for a Head of Quality
THE POSITION
We are looking for an experienced Head of Quality to lead the quality function within a dynamic airline environment and play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and operational excellence.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an aviation professional who combines strong technical expertise with a practical understanding of airline operations, regulatory requirements and continuous improvement.
As Head of Quality, you will be responsible for developing, managing and continuously improving the airline’s Quality Management System, ensuring that operations consistently meet internal standards and applicable aviation regulations.
You will work closely with senior management and operational teams across the business, providing independent oversight, identifying areas of risk and ensuring that quality remains embedded in day-to-day decision-making.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop the airline’s Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure compliance with applicable national and international aviation regulations, standards and internal policies.
- Develop and manage the annual quality audit and compliance monitoring programme.
- Oversee audits across operational and technical functions and ensure that corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Identify quality and compliance risks, analyse trends and provide clear recommendations to senior management.
- Drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
- Maintain effective relationships with aviation authorities, auditors and other external stakeholders.
- Work closely with Safety, Engineering, Maintenance, Flight Operations and other functions to strengthen operational standards.
- Lead, mentor and develop the Quality team.
- Promote a strong culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement throughout the airline.
THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will bring a strong combination of aerospace education, aviation industry experience and leadership capability.
Essential requirements:
- University degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Significant professional experience within the aerospace or aviation industry.
- Strong understanding of airline operations, aviation quality systems and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with quality assurance, compliance monitoring, auditing or operational governance within aviation.
- Knowledge of relevant aviation regulations and industry standards.
- Proven ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate audit findings and operational data into practical improvements.
- Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
- Professional proficiency in English.
