Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Roadway Construction Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects comply with all applicable regulations, standards, and specifications. This role involves conducting thorough inspections, analyzing contract documents, and collaborating with construction contractors and subcontractors to ensure a quality product is built for the client.
Duties
Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to monitor compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Analyze specifications, standards, and project plans to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
Perform quality inspections on materials and workmanship to ensure adherence to project specifications.
Collaborate with contractors and construction management teams to address any issues or discrepancies found during inspections.
Document findings from inspections, including any violations or areas needing improvement, and prepare detailed reports.
Provide guidance on best practices for construction quality control and safety measures.
Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and regulations related to construction practices.
Requirements
Proven experience in construction inspection or a related field.
Strong knowledge of quality control processes in the construction industry.
Proficient in plans reading.
Attention to detail.
Familiarity with roadway and vertical construction is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify potential issues before they escalate.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
A background in construction management is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Valid CTQP Earthwork Inspection Level 1.
Valid CTQP Asphalt Paving Level 1.
Valid CTQP Final Estimates Level 1.
Valid Intermediate MOT Certification.
