About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Product Development Specialist. In this role, you will play a key part in the conceptualization, formulation, and testing of new fragrances and personal care products. Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fragrance development, cosmetic formulation, or a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of raw materials, formulation techniques, and regulatory requirements within the personal care and fragrance industry is essential. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, are crucial. Proficiency in laboratory equipment and software related to product development is also required. A passion for innovation, attention to detail, and strong communication skills will set candidates apart.
Responsibilities
Develop and formulate new fragrances and personal care products in line with company standards and market trends. Conduct research on raw materials and ingredients to identify new opportunities for innovation. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to understand consumer preferences and translate these insights into product concepts. Perform rigorous testing and quality control procedures to ensure product stability, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. Maintain detailed documentation of formulations, testing results, and process modifications. Stay updated on industry regulations, safety standards, and emerging trends to ensure all products meet legal and quality requirements. Work closely with manufacturing teams to scale up formulations from laboratory to production scale, troubleshooting any technical issues that arise. Participate in sensory evaluation panels and gather feedback to refine product formulations. Support the launch of new products through effective communication and coordination with relevant departments. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies without compromising quality.
