Duties & Responsibilities:
Quality Management System (QMS):
Develop and maintain QMS in compliance with ISO 9001
Lead audits (internal, customer, and third-party) and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
Inspection and Testing:
Oversee dimensional, functional, and visual inspection of machined and assembled parts.
Ensure use and calibration of appropriate measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, gauges).
Production Support:
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues in manufacturing.
Specify coherently the issue so it could be understood promptly.
Approve first article inspections (FAI) and support process capability studies (CP, CPK).
Supplier Quality:
Evaluate and audit suppliers for compliance with quality standards.
Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and supplier corrective actions (SCARs).
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain quality documentation such as inspection plans, control plans, and PFMEAs.
Ensure traceability and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, 5 Why, or root cause analysis (RCA) methodologies.
Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality.
Train staff on quality standards and procedures
Work with an Advanced ERP system
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferable, however, relevant experience could substitute this requirement.
3+ years of experience in quality assurance within a mechanical or manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of GD&T, machining processes, and mechanical drawing interpretation.
Familiarity with quality tools: 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA.
Proficiency with ERP and QMS software.
Certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), Six Sigma, or ISO auditor are a plus (not mandatory)
Must have excellent English, written and verbal
Must have a US Work Permit
Ability to Travel is a plus
