Role Description The Inspector/Certifier of Organic Agriculture (m/f) is a full-time, on-site role based in Čakovec. The role involves conducting on-site inspections of agricultural holdings and processing units, reviewing documentation, and verifying compliance with national and EU organic standards. The inspector/certifier prepares detailed inspection reports, evaluates findings, and participates in certification decisions in line with internal procedures and quality management requirements. Daily tasks include communicating with clients, providing guidance on organic certification requirements, and coordinating inspection schedules. The role also supports continuous improvement of inspection practices and contributes to the consistency and reliability of the certification process.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of organic agriculture, sustainable farming practices, and relevant EU and Croatian regulations.
- Experience in inspection, auditing, or certification processes within agriculture, food production, or quality management.
- Strong skills in documentation review, report writing, and attention to detail for compliance verification.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with farmers, processors, traders, and institutional partners.
- Ability to work independently on-site, manage schedules, and travel within the region as needed.
- Relevant degree in agriculture, food science, environmental science, or a related field is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with standard office software and digital tools for data entry, record-keeping, and reporting.
- Working proficiency in Croatian; knowledge of English or other EU languages is an advantage.
