Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control/Assurance (QA/QC) Specialist to oversee our quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with industry standards for steel fabrication of ASME pressure vessels and tanks . The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems that align with ISO 9001 regulations. This role requires a proactive approach to quality audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Duties
Develop and implement quality management systems in accordance with ISO 9001 , NACE inspection, ASME and Section VIII and IX.
Oversee the quality inspection processes to identify defects or areas for improvement in products on the shop floor.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate project management efforts aimed at enhancing product quality.
Analyze data from quality inspections and audits to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
Train and mentor shop welders and fitters on quality assurance practices, policies, and procedures.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product reliability.
Maintain documentation related to quality management activities, including audit reports, inspection records, and compliance certifications.
Skills
Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and techniques related to product manufacturing.
Proficient in quality assurance methodologies and tools.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, ASME, NACE and Section VIII and IX regulations.
Experience conducting quality audits and inspections effectively.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead teams towards achieving quality objectives.
Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and problem-solving.
Effective communication skills for collaboration across departments.
