Role Description This is a contract, on-site Jr Manual Test Engineer role based in Bayan Lepas. The Manual Test Engineer will design, review, and maintain detailed test cases and test scenarios based on functional and technical requirements. Responsibilities include executing manual tests, documenting test results, logging defects, and working closely with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements and verify fixes. The role involves performing functional testing, regression testing, and system integration testing to ensure software quality and adherence to specifications. The Manual Test Engineer will also contribute to test planning, participate in review meetings, and support root cause analysis for issues found during testing.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Testing and Test Engineering, with experience in software quality assurance processes and methodologies.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Hands-on experience in Test Execution and managing Test Cases, including test design, prioritization, and documentation.
- Practical experience in Functional Testing, including regression and integration testing in real project environments.
- Ability to analyze requirements, identify test conditions, and ensure coverage for end-to-end business workflows.
- Good understanding of defect lifecycle, using issue-tracking tools to log, track, and verify defects.
- Familiarity with basic SQL or database queries for test data validation is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach to testing.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in an on-site testing role within product development or services organizations is preferred.
