We are looking for an additional part-time Quality Control Lab Technician to perform lab tests to help evaluate our seeds, sprouts, and powders, and to perform environmental swabbing and testing. We collect and test plant material and spent irrigation water in our indoor food production facility. Our ideal Quality Control Lab Tech candidate will have a degree in microbiology and experience in aseptic sample collection and lab techniques and performing routine sample analysis. A candidate should also have experience in Microsoft Office and Excel for documenting test results and other data entry.
This is a part-time position working 18-24 hours each week, but could expand to full-time as we grow.
We are evaluating becoming a certified lab and a well-qualified candidate will help with that project. We also have opportunities for professional growth in product development, product formulation, and nutritional analysis. The work schedule for our Quality Control Lab Technician is M-F, plus three to four hours on alternate Saturdays. We have some flexibility in weekly work hours and you can work 4 to 5 days each week. The job requires standing for periods while performing and reading tests, walking in production areas that have wet floors, and occasionaly lifting up to 50-lb boxes of seed or materials.

Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
