Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Quality Assurance Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing manual and exploratory tests to ensure product quality across our software applications.
Responsibilities
Review business, software requirements, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
Prepare and review test plans, test cases/scripts, and test reports.
Set up and maintain test environments.
Execute manual and automated tests (when applicable) to ensure product quality.
Identify, record, and thoroughly document bugs; track their resolution.
Perform thorough regression testing once bugs are resolved.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand system requirements and resolve issues.
Monitor the debugging process and analyze causes of non-conforming software.
Suggest and implement process enhancements to improve software quality.
Stay updated with the latest QA tools, strategies, and industry trends.
Track and report quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
1–1.5 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance.
Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Hands-on experience with both white-box and black-box testing techniques.
Familiarity with one programming or scripting language.
Experience with at least one DBMS and basic SQL knowledge.
Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman.
Familiarity with test management and automation tools (experience is a plus).
Understanding of Agile/Scrum development lifecycle.
Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Strong team player with a positive attitude and a smart, proactive work ethic.
Awareness of good UI/UX practices for modern applications.
