Key Responsibilities
- Perform functionality, regression, smoke, and sanity testing for web and mobile applications.
- Execute API testing and validate request/response data.
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Understand business requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases accordingly.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, and testing activities.
- Ensure applications meet quality standards before release.
- Perform retesting and verification of bug fixes.
- Prepare testing reports and provide regular status updates to the team.
- Continuously learn and adopt new testing tools, technologies, and best practices.
Required Skills & Competencies
Testing Skills
- Hands-on experience in Web, Mobile, and API Testing.
- Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect management processes.
- Ability to create and execute test cases effectively.
- Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Analytical & Technical Skills
- Strong query understanding and analytical thinking capabilities.
- Ability to identify edge cases and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Basic understanding of databases and API concepts will be an advantage.
- Ability to work with changing requirements and prioritize testing activities.
Communication Skills
- Confident verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate defects, observations, and testing results clearly.
- Strong collaboration skills and willingness to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 1+ year of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
- Exposure to test management and defect tracking tools is an added advantage.
