Position: Lab Tech I

Lab Tech I Responsibilities:
Performs laboratory tests to determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition of solid, liquid, or gaseous materials for such purposes as quality control, process control, or product development.
Performs tasks on daily schedule assigned to the shift.
Assists in resolving customer complaints.
Documents, communicates, and archives physical and analytical sample results.
Tests finished and raw material samples as required.
Participates in maintaining the sample retention area.
Troubleshoots and performs minor maintenance on laboratory equipment.
Promotes a safe workplace environment and is accountable for personal safety as well as the safety of coworkers.
Utilizes all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, performs all required safety checks and communicates need for repairs or maintenance.
Reports incidents, defective materials, or questionable conditions to the Supervisor – Lab.
Attends and participates in safety huddles, mandatory safety stand-down meetings, and ongoing training sessions.
Ensures all documentation produced is in compliance with company and customer standards as required, including meeting the Data Integrity guidelines.
Contributes to audit readiness and participates in quality, customer, and regulatory audits.
Makes and tests hand blends.
Uses technology, software, and hardware to write reports and enter data.
