The Quality Control Technician I supports the Production Department and is responsible for checking outgoing finished goods to ensure that they are free of defects and produced according to internal specifications and external guidelines. This is a highly detail-oriented role, requiring familiarity with manufacturing and production processes.
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Works with production to ensure that all products are produced up to product specifications.
Complete pre-shipment inspections for all pallets of finished products.
Supports movement of finished good products by completing transactions in the Quality Workbench in ERP & METRC system.
Collects and tracks samples from retain storage for Quality and R&D testing.
Supports monthly scale calibration, inventory, and maintenance of all scales.
Works within all manufacturing departments including all concentrates, edibles and beverages reviewing sanitation logs, weight checks, temperature logs and in-line audits.
Assists Quality Control Lead or Manager with any quality and product concerns or issues.
Collect, scan, and organize all Safety Data Sheets, COA’s and Quality forms into Quality shared drive.
Focuses technical abilities on food safety components and maintains guidelines for manufacturing around; GMP standards.
Support Production and Quality staff as needed with various projects.
Other duties as assigned.
SECONDARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports Quality Lead or Manager in resolving quality issues (CAPA).
Assists with the creation and the updates of production documentation (SOPs, WIs, logs, and batch records) as needed.
Verifies and identifies Critical Control Points of processes.
Assists on label approvals as needed.
