Job Overview
As a Quality Assurance (QA) Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of software applications through rigorous testing and analysis. Your role involves identifying bugs, reporting defects, and collaborating with developers to enhance software reliability and user experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software functionality and performance.
Identify, document, and track software bugs, defects, and inconsistencies using issue-tracking tools.
Perform manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, performance, and usability testing.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to resolve issues and improve software quality.
Conduct compatibility testing across different devices, browsers, and operating systems.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, company guidelines, and security best practices.
Analyze test results and provide detailed reports and recommendations for improvements.
Continuously update and enhance test strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and review meetings.
Experience & Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.
Experience in software testing, QA processes, or automation testing is a plus.
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) and bug-tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Ability to write and execute SQL queries for database testing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 – $60.00 per hour
