Locally owned Tier-Two Automotive Supplier is searching for a Quality Manager. The selected candidate will acclimate to the position by working alongside the current QM until his retirement in the Fall of 2025. The Quality Manager is responsible for maintaining ISO 9001 QMS and internal policies and standards while directing and implementing new policies and standards as needed for department and company success.
Responsibilities
Manage approximate 30 member Quality team, counseling team members as necessary and coaching team members to ensure effective Quality functions and Company success.
Serve as Company ISO-9001 Coordinator, overseeing the company QMS effort, including all internal auditing and external auditing functions.
Direct Quality response for new product launches and all part quality concerns and opportunities.
Plan and facilitate appropriate internal and external training for all Quality Department employees.
Direct Company APQP effort within the QMS system.
Oversee hiring, retention, and skills development for all Quality Department personnel.
Maintain adherence to Company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Strong demonstrated supervisory and customer relation skills.
Experience in developing and maintaining quality systems.
Ability to build trust and confidence with all employees.
Strategic thinking and leadership skills.
Ability to communicate with employees at all levels.
Experience:
Supervisory: 3 years (Preferred)
Manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred), Plastics experience (Desired)
Substantial experience in Quality Control
