We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality assurance programs aligned with industry standards such as AS9100, ISO 13485, IATF 16949:2016, and ISO 9001.
  • Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and evaluations to verify compliance with quality systems and manufacturing standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations for defect resolution and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), and other quality planning activities to ensure smooth production launches.
  • Utilize statistical data analysis tools like Minitab for quality control, process monitoring, and process capability studies; interpret data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage supplier performance metrics, conduct vendor management reviews, and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory/legal standards such as FDA regulations, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and other relevant quality management systems.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of quality management standards including AS9100, ISO 13485, IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001, and related industry certifications.
  • Proven experience in supplier quality engineering practices within manufacturing or industrial engineering environments.
  • Strong understanding of quality control statistical data analysis, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), root cause analysis techniques, and defect resolution strategies.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as assembly, process engineering, sourcing, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Skilled in project management with the ability to lead cross-functional teams on quality improvement projects.
  • Proficiency in using tools like Minitab for data analysis and reporting; experience with ERP systems such as AS400 is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships effectively while ensuring adherence to quality standards in production environments.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements including FDA regulations and legal compliance standards relevant to manufacturing industries.

Pay: $73,620.02 – $88,660.67 per year
