About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer (Mid to Senior level) to work onsite with our client Plugilo. You will be responsible for ensuring product quality across web, mobile, and API layers
through comprehensive testing strategies. This role emphasizes both traditional manual testing
expertise and the ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate test case generation, bug analysis, and
quality reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Review business requirements and technical specifications to identify test scope, edge cases, and
potential risks
• Design and maintain comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and checklists for functional,
regression, and integration testing
• Execute manual testing across web applications, APIs (Postman/Swagger), and mobile interfaces
• Perform UI/UX testing to validate layout, responsiveness, and cross-browser/cross-device
compatibility
• Track, document, and follow up on bugs using project management tools (Jira, Redmine, or
equivalent)
• Collaborate closely with developers and PM to reproduce issues and verify fixes
• Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to accelerate test case generation, analyze bug patterns,
and draft quality reports
• Support UAT preparation and coordinate with client stakeholders during acceptance testing
phases
• Perform smoke testing and post-release verification after production deployments
• Lead test strategy and define quality gates for release readiness (Senior level)
• Provide regular quality reports including severity distribution, test progress, and release quality
summaries
Required Skills & Experience
Testing Skills (Must-have)
• 3+ years of experience in software QA/testing (Mid) / 5+ years (Senior)
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test levels, and test types (functional,
regression, integration, smoke, UAT)
• Proficiency in writing detailed, reusable test cases from requirements, wireframes, or user stories
• Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database verification and data-driven testing
• Experience with bug tracking and project management tools (Jira, Redmine, Trello)
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development process and QA role within sprint cycles
• Ability to analyze requirements and identify gaps, ambiguities, and potential failure points before
development begins
• Experience testing web applications across multiple browsers and devices
AI-Powered Testing (Must-have)
• Proficient in using AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) for test case generation from
requirements or user stories or acceptant criterias
• Ability to use AI to review test cases, test suites, test scenarios
• Ability to use AI to analyze bug reports, identify patterns, and suggest root causes
• Experience using AI tools to draft test plans, quality reports, and release notes efficiently
• Understanding of how AI can assist (and where it falls short) in testing workflows — able to
validate AI-generated test cases for completeness and accuracy
Nice-to-have
• Familiarity with automation testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) — not required but a
strong plus
• Using AI to generate test script for data testing
• ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Level certification
• Experience with performance testing concepts (JMeter, k6)
• Experience working with international clients (English or Japanese communication)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how QA integrates into automated deployment workflows
Soft Skills
• Meticulous attention to detail — able to catch subtle UI inconsistencies and edge case bugs
• Clear and structured communication — able to write bug reports that developers can act on
immediately
• Proactive mindset — raises quality concerns early rather than waiting for issues to surface in
production
• English reading/writing proficiency (working with English documentation, test cases, and bug
reports)
• Collaborative team player who can work effectively with developers, PM, and client stakeholders
