Mobile QA Tester — London (Hybrid)
Paid hourly | Internship with the possibility to extend
Juno (YC P26) is building a 24/7 AI health companion for people living with chronic illness. We are a small, fast-moving team, and quality is mission-critical: people rely on Juno with real health questions every day.
We are looking for a sharp, relentless Mobile QA Tester with hands-on mobile development experience—someone who understands how mobile apps are built as well as how they break. This is a high-ownership role working directly with the founder, product and engineering. You will own release testing, hunt down edge cases and have a visible impact on what reaches users.
What you will do
• Test iOS and Android builds across devices, OS versions and critical user journeys
• Run smoke, regression, exploratory, usability and edge-case testing before releases
• Reproduce and document bugs with precise steps, screenshots or recordings, severity and expected vs actual behaviour
• Use your mobile development knowledge to investigate logs, network behaviour, state, permissions and device-specific failures
• Validate TestFlight and release candidates, including onboarding, authentication, notifications, subscriptions, deep links, offline and poor-network behaviour
• Verify fixes quickly and keep release checklists and test cases accurate
• Work closely with product, design and engineering to improve quality at every stage
Required
• Hands-on mobile development experience is required
• Prior App Store experience is mandatory: you must have personally developed and/or QA-tested at least one consumer mobile app that was publicly released on the Apple App Store
• You must be able to name that app and explain exactly what you built, tested and owned
• Strong manual mobile QA skills and a genuine instinct for finding hard-to-reproduce bugs
• Familiarity with TestFlight and the iOS release process
• Excellent attention to detail and clear written bug reporting
• Based in London, or able to work hybrid with regular in-person time in London
• High ownership, speed and comfort working in an early-stage startup
Nice to have
• Android and Google Play testing experience
• Experience with React Native or Expo apps
• Familiarity with API or network debugging, Sentry, analytics, accessibility testing or QA automation
• Interest in healthtech, consumer apps or AI products
What we offer
• Paid hourly internship
• Hybrid working in London
• Real ownership of a live product used by people managing chronic illness
• Direct access to the founder and a fast feedback loop with product and engineering
• The possibility to extend into a longer-term role based on performance, company needs and mutual fit
• A front-row seat at a Y Combinator startup moving quickly from user feedback to shipped product
How to apply
Please include:
• The name and App Store link for a mobile app you personally developed and/or tested
• Exactly what you built or tested on that app
• One difficult bug you found and how you diagnosed it
• Your London availability
• Your hourly rate expectation
Applications that do not identify a real published app and your personal contribution will not be considered.
If you are obsessed with breaking mobile apps before users do—and want your work to matter immediately—we would love to hear from you.
