Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This position performs quality checks in a timely manner for raw, work in process, and finished product through inspection, laboratory analysis, organoleptic testing and packaging status verification to ensure consistency.
Duties
Performs process checks for production, packaging, sanitation, and warehousing functions of the company including pre-operation checks, sanitation verification, label checks, granulation and salt analysis, water activity testing, net weight checks, package integrity checks, and organoleptic checks (taste, appearance, and odor). Calibrates all testing equipment including sanitation verification units, salt analyzer, oxygen analyzer, moisture analyzer and scales. Performs roasting oil titration tests. Assists in training employees on food safety, company processes and FDA current Good Manufacturing Practices. Performs preventive control checks.
Ensures proper inspection documentation is completed prior to shift end including production paperwork (data entry). Maintains accurate and organized records of QA activities
Verifies COA products and Hold products are scanned appropriately for control.
Pulls samples for analysis according to customer requirements.
Qualifications
Proficient in quality audits and quality control processes
Strong background in manufacturing and quality assurance
Familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and CGMP standards
Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
Knowledge of quality management systems and QA/QC practices
Ability to conduct quality inspections and analyze data effectively
